January is a time for a health reset, new goals, ambitions, and… vegan food.

With motivations such as health benefits, animal welfare and environmental impacts, more and more people are interested in taking up the Veganuary challenge.

Veganuary (a combination of vegan and January) is a non-profit organisation that encourages people worldwide to try vegan for January and beyond. Millions of people have signed up to their one-month vegan pledge since 2014.

In support of our customers catering to consumer trends and desires, this January ARYZTA are highlighting some of our vegan options available.

In addition to our delicious range of chips, potato cubes, hash browns and spicy wedges, our Pierre’s Vegan Sausage Roll is a vegan delight. Made from a delicious blend of soya bean, chickpeas, herbs and spices, wrapped in a flaky puff pastry, it’s a favourite with vegans, vegetarians and flexitarians alike.

The vegan movement has spread further that the month of January. According to a report from Bord Bia, 14% of people now say they associate with a vegan diet.

The same Bord Bia report stated that convenience was a key challenge for vegans when trying to adapt to their new way of eating. Although access in general has improved snacking is still a challenge, 18% of those who have stopped vegan/vegetarian diets claim they did so because there wasn’t enough convenient food options available for them.

For a sweet tooth consumer looking for a vegan snack,  the Cuisine de France Vegan Raspberry filled Croissant is a real treat!
